State of Nevada Needs Assessment for Children with Special Health Care Needs

LeCroy & Milligan Associates, Inc. was hired by the State of Nevada Health Division to conduct a statewide needs assessment to determine unmet needs for children with special health needs and their families. This one-year project involved focus groups and interviews with parents of children with special needs and professionals who worked with the children and/or their families. These were conducted around the state to determine unmet needs in both rural and urban regions. A final report was completed in January 2006. The findings presented in this report have been used as the basis for developing regional plans to meet unmet needs.
