Craig LeCroy, PhD

Craig W. LeCroy, PhD, is co-founder of LeCroy & Milligan Associates. Craig serves as the Director of Research and Evaluation, and Principal Investigator on numerous research projects. In addition, he is the Communitas Professor of Social Work, School of Social Work, Arizona State University.

Dr. LeCroy has focused his research in the areas of home visitation services, social competence in adolescence, and evidence-based practice for social work. He has conducted numerous randomized trials of home visitation, been a long-standing member of the research to practice committee of Prevent Child Abuse America, developed the Healthy Families Parenting Inventory, an outcome and clinical assessment instrument; and is currently implementing a randomized trial of Parents as Teachers. Dr. LeCroy’ s research has been funded by NIMH, SAMHSA, Children’s Bureau, Federal Youth Services Bureau, and the Office of Adolescent Health.  Dr. LeCroy was the past president of the Arizona Evaluation Network.

 

Dr. LeCroy is the author of 15 books and over 100 articles and book chapters. Selected honors include: elected Fellow status by the American Academy of Social Work and Social Welfare; Fellow status by the American Psychological Association; Research Service Award, Prevent Child Abuse America; Lifetime Achievement Award, NASW Branch II; Outstanding Alumni Award, Western Michigan University.

 

When not at work, Dr. LeCroy further displays his creative side as a highly regarded sculpture artist and master gardener.
