Yvonne Bueno, PhD
Yvonne Bueno, DrPH, MPH is a program evaluation associate with LeCroy & Milligan Associates (LMA). Yvonne brings experience and training in public health, and maternal and child health-related settings. She has worked in research and program development in a variety of departments at the University of Arizona (Public Health, Psychology, Family and Community Medicine), as well as hospital, and community settings.
Dr. Bueno’s research and related work experience have addressed substance use and early recovery in pregnant and post-partum women and infants with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, children and youth with special health care needs, youth leadership development, and undergraduate course instruction in personal health and wellness. She has worked on interventions to improve cancer care coordination for underserved populations in Southern Arizona and facilitated focus groups for the Pima County Community Health Needs Assessment. She has experience in qualitative research methods and qualitative data analysis, including use of data analysis software.
As an evaluator, she is currently focused on youth and teen pregnancy prevention, tobacco use prevention, cancer prevention, and children’s educational programming in the local Tucson community. When undertaking projects, Yvonne excels with multisector collaboration and diversity in team-based environments.
Yvonne enjoys playing soccer, spending time outdoors, and traveling to spend time with her family and friends outside of Arizona.
